Tucson Veterans Football Club is honoring the memory of Collins, a member whose loss was felt deeply across this club, by establishing a new annual award in his name.
The award was made possible through Gerard Ngwang, who initiated the project with a $1,000 donation to get it started. That gift has laid the foundation for something the club plans to carry forward every single year.
How the Award Works
Each year, the TVFC executive body will select one fully registered member to receive the award. The selection is not based on stats or wins. It is based on character. The committee will look for a member who embodies the same qualities Collins was known for within this club, and who carries that same spirit forward in how they show up for their teammates and their community.
