Tucson Veteran Football Club
A Brief History
Tucson Veteran Football Club(TVFC) is a community based adult football (soccer) organization comitted to bringing adult players together adult players who share a passion for the game. Our club welcome players of all level skills. Typically age 30- and above, who are looking for competitive, respectful, and inclusive environment to play the sport they love. Whether you’re returning to the pitch after years away or never stopped playing, TVFC provides a structured and supportive community focused on fitness, camaraderie, and fun.
The Tucson Veteran Football Club (TVFC) was born out of a simple but powerful tradition—weekend pick-up games among friends who shared the love for soccer, community, and staying active. In the early 2018, a group of adult players—many of them longtime residents and professionals in the Tucson area—began gathering informally at Brendan Fento Park. These sessions were relaxed and welcoming, drawing men from diverse backgrounds and skill levels. Over time, the consistency, passion, and camaraderie of these gatherings began to build something greater than just weekend exercise—it was becoming a community.
By late 2018, it became clear that what had started as casual play was ready for more structure and impact. Recognizing the potential to unite and serve a broader group of veteran players,
Dr. Bime, one of the group’s most active and dedicated members, recognized the need to formally organize the club. He envisioned a place where experienced players—typically aged 30 and above—could not only enjoy the game but also foster friendships, support one another, and build something lasting.

With input and support from other founding members, TVFC was officially launched, adopting bylaws, establishing a leadership structure, and committing to core values: inclusivity, sportsmanship, respect, and community.
Since then, TVFC has grown steadily adding structured training sessions, participating in local and regional tournaments, and organizing social and community events that extend beyond the pitch. The club remains proudly grassroots, volunteer-led, and open to all who share a love for the beautiful game.
From pick-up games to purposeful play, TVFC continues to honor its roots while expanding its impact—bringing together players, families, and supporters to celebrate soccer and community, one match at a time.
